Technical diving & Scrum.

Or how technical diving helped started a transformation of heavily waterfall organisation to Scrum.

Duration 45 minutes

Being involved in diver training and coaching of agile teams, I find a lot of similarities between these disciplines. The talk is formed around the many analogies I found teaching and learning diving and teaching and learning scrum and agile development.

Tech diving is about goals. Tech diving is about attitude.
Tech diving is about training.
Tech diving is about the team.
Tech diving is about finding the right mix.
Tech diving is about the tools.
Tech diving is about planning.
Tech diving is about procedures.
Tech diving is about common sense.

All of the above applies also to organisation transition to agile. I currently work on a transformation of medium sized organization (160 people) from heavy waterfall process to agile and want to share my experiences with this.
